Our churches are frequently used for Thanksgivings, Christenings (baptisms), weddings- including marriage blessings- and funerals.
This is an option for people who live on the island, or have a "qualifying connection"- something that links them with the parish.

Christenings (Baptisms): Being Christened/baptised marks the beginning of life as a Christian. We christen babies to show that they have been welcomed into God's family. As they grow up, we pray and hope that they will be be able to commit to following Jesus for themselves.
Please contact the Minister to discuss times and dates. The service of Christening will normally take place during a church service on a Sunday morning.

Weddings: The church recognises marriage between a man and a woman to be a good thing. It provides stability and a place where genuine love can grow. Weddings are joyful events and we love to celebrate them in the Parish! God is full grace and mercy - full of forgiveness - therefore that is why we also marry people who have been divorced - though this is proceeded by a short question and answer session with the minister.
We also bless marriages which have happened at a civil venue, but where one or both of the partners want God's blessing nonetheless.

Funerals: The parish is committed to offering funeral services and support to the bereaved. Usually the minister (and the church where appropriate) will be booked by the funeral director who will contact us directly.
